Haemorrhoids (Piles) Treatment

Get free NHS haemorrhoid treatment at Knights Pharmacy in Wales — no GP appointment needed.

Haemorrhoids (piles) are very common and nothing to be embarrassed about. Through the Wales Common Ailments Service, our pharmacists can provide appropriate treatment free of charge — no awkward GP appointment needed.

Symptoms:

  • Bright red blood on the toilet paper or in the bowl after passing a stool
  • Itching or soreness around the anus
  • Discomfort when sitting
  • A lump or feeling of fullness around the anus

Treatment at Knights Pharmacy:

We can supply haemorrhoidal creams or ointments (e.g. Anusol, Preparation H) to soothe itching and reduce inflammation, and suppositories for internal piles. We'll also advise on diet and hydration to soften stools.

When to see your GP:

If blood in stools is dark red or mixed into the stool rather than on the surface, or if haemorrhoids are very large, prolapsing or not responding to treatment.
