Signs of infection

Increasing redness, warmth and swelling around the bite
Pus or discharge from the wound
Fever or swollen glands nearby

How we treat it

Our pharmacist will assess the bite and, where appropriate, supply antibiotic treatment and advise on wound care.

Seek emergency help if you develop signs of a severe allergic reaction, difficulty breathing, or red streaks spreading from the bite — call 999.
